The Minister for Mental Health and Ageing, the Hon Mark Butler MP, has today announced the much anticipated Stage 1 release of the Federal Government’s $550 million Partners in Recovery (or PiR) program.
Aftercare welcomes this announcement and the benefits Partners in Recovery will bring to people across Australia currently living with severe mental illness.
Partners in Recovery will provide coordinated support and flexible funding for people with severe mental illness and complex support needs, bringing together a range of different services. These include: income support, housing, employment, medical care and education.
